The Application Process

Step 1 Registering Your Interest

At this initial stage, students need to register their interest and confirm that the details presented are correct. You will also be able to declare details of a disability to us at this point if you wish to do so.

Your details at this stage are the ones you used to apply for your course. Instructions on how to change these, if required, will be given to you during the process before submitting your registration to us.

Once you have submitted a registration of interest, you will receive an email confirmation from our team.

This email will include the next steps for your application.

* Remember to check your junk/spam folder in case the confirmation email has been moved there.

This is only an initial registration at this point, there is no indication, or preference, of which accommodation you are requesting until you receive an email invitation to Stage 2.

Do you have a disability we should know about (we will find out more details in the next stage)

Step 2 Making Your Application

Once you have registered your interest (if eligible), you will receive an email inviting you to select accommodation (this will be time limited and subject to availability).

* Remember to check your junk/spam folder in case the confirmation e-mail has been moved there.

When applying for a room you will need to:

Review the terms and conditions of the accommodation contract – you can download the accommodation agreement in the menu on this page.

Make  a pre-payment of rent, which is an advanced payment towards the annual fee not a deposit, and will be deducted from the total cost of your fees.

All of our rooms are on a 48-week licence and some rooms may have en-suite facilities. All rooms are charged at £7,000 per year.

It is essential that you are able to make payment for your accommodation for the full contractual period. Once the application has been accepted you will be legally obliged to pay for the room. There are no refunds for periods of absence from your accommodation such as illness, field trips, school placements or for early completion of academic commitments.

A room will be only be confirmed and a contract formed once a student has completed all three stages of the application process. You will receive an email from the Student Living team which confirms the formation of the contract.

Room Numbering

The room numbering will differ depending on what accommodation you will be staying. Rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Step 3 Confirming Your Payment

At this stage, you need to tell us how you are going to pay your accommodation fees.

You will be provided with a number of options outlining how to pay your accommodation fee.

Details of each method will be explained when you are presented with your options. Depending on the method selected, you may need a valid debit or credit card.

Once you have completed Stage 3 you will receive an email from the ABHSC confirming that you have now formed a contract with ABHSC for the room you applied for.
